Torah Academy
"Educate the child according to his way
and when he grows old he will not depart from it" (Proverbs)
Torah Academy is an independence
Jewish Primary School, inspected and registered by the Department
of Education and Science. The school covers education of boys and
girls from 2 to 11. It is situations in two large Victorian houses
close to the sea front in a residential area of Hove with New Church
Synagogue within the grounds.
Torah Academy is a community-wide
Jewish school, founded in 1988 with just six pupils. It started
as it meant to continue, with children from across the spectrum
of the community. Thus, children who attend the school range through
Orthodox, Reform and Progressive to unaffiliated.
This is a very happy school and
its pupils and teacher pride themselves in their caring nature.
All who visit the school comment on the friendly atmosphere and
stimulating environment. There is obvious care which goes into the
work and a wide variety of activities which the pupils undertake,
both in and out of the classroom.
